What a difference a year makes! It has been a rite of passage for this girl, in many different ways. I have been painting at home since today a year ago,and is my full time job. I work really hard but love every minute of it! I have participated in several shows, have had two exhibits and am having a great time teaching creativity classes at a local shop. A very talented author from my hometown used several of my paintings in his new book which should come out next month
outdoorsdownsouth.com called " Life Along The Apalachicola River" by Jim McClellan and can be pre-ordered from Barnes and Noble and Books A Million. It is a wonderful addition to the Christmas list for those hunters and fisherman and the people that love them! We were fortunate to grow up in a wonderful part of Florida with a bevy of interesting characters in the small town of Blountstown, Fla.
I have been art journaling and that has been a fun way to stay mindful of the passing days, weeks and seasons. I get my watercolor pencils out and my media paper pad and play till all hours of the night. It is good to put down your thoughts and clear your head for the day, it is very freeing. I will add tidbits of fabric, ribbon, quotes and scripture along with other ephemera I come across. If you want to take a great class online, take a look at yes and amen blog and laugh along with Junelle as she sketches out her day with humor and sacredness.
Well, that is all I wanted to tell you today, I am working on Christmas ornaments for Artisians in the Garden at
tallahasseenurseries.com and needed a break from all the glitter and paint. Till next time, Suzanne
